14/05/09 - HI ALL,
I hope you are all well, sorry its been a while since my last blog but
i have been very busy with the Premier League and travelling to other
competitions which has left me only one day a week at home (life of a
dart player).
Well the golf in Ireland was geat even though I played far below my best,
but on a Championship course like that, I was very happy overall and the
company with whom I played was second to none.
As for the darts, since my last blog they have been going ok, I have been
working hard at my game (as everyone needs to just to keep up with the
standard these days) and I keep wondering how high its going to get before
i get left behind!? (I'm getting older and finding it harder to concentrate
nowadays ha ha!) Only joking i will be around for a while yet!
Its nice to see Gary Anderson finding his feet after a little bit of a
slow start for him and im sure Mark Webster will do the same soon, I wish
them both the best of luck.
I am practicing hard now before the play-offs in the Premier League I
need to up the ante if I want to get past the govenor (Mr Phil Taylor),
he is playing some great darts at the moment and is a pleasure to watch
if your not playing him! ha ha! I will do my best and if its good enough
on the day then great and if not then I can honestly say I have done what
I set out to do at the start of the League which was to get to the semi-finals.
When your in the company of the players I was in the league that alone
was an acheivement in itself! It has been a great honour to have been
part of the Premier League and one of which I hope to be able to do again
next year. I must admit, it was very tiring with all the travelling and
the amount of darts, so I will be looking forward to a rest when the League
is over. I might even be able to find time to sort my shop out on this
website and you never know, might even find time to have another round
of golf!
Well thats it for now, I'm off to the practice board so be lucky and see

I really should go to germany the next day for 2 players championships but I have found it very hard to find a flight shorter than 6 hours and I really dont fancy hanging around the airport for 4 hours waiting for the flight, so I have decided to have a round of golf on the friday on the Royal Port Rush course (which is in the top 10 in the UK) kindly arranged by my friend Colin Mcgarry who you know plays on the circut and a very good player too. The four ball is going to be myself and my friend John wood who travels to some of the darts when he has time, Colin Mcgarry (scratch player) and 2 pro golfers, so I am hoping I will play well as I don't want to show myself up on the course! I don't get much time to play golf with the amount of darts I have to play nowadays.
After the golf it will be back to normal practice and tournaments again so I hope my current form continues and fingers crossed it might even get better!

As you all know I joined the PDC 2 years ago and have had some good results in what I feel is the strongest field of players I have ever played amongst. Some not so good but you are always learning in this sport! - Just when you think you have cracked it, a bad game comes from no where and you are humbled yet again. Which brings me to my game, Im happy the way It Is progressing, the practice Is paying off nicely but i feel i have to work even harder to get where i want to be (In the top 3), I would love to get to number 1 in the world but there is so much hard work to do before I get to realise that dream, If at all.
Im working as hard as possible with a strict practice regime, even more so now I have made the Premier League which I am delighted with, my first aim there Is to try and not end up last in the League and play well to put on a good show for the spectators and tv, well i hope you enjoy my site im off to the practice board now!
